Maison Montagut is a brand of knitwear for Men and Women established in 1880. The current directors, Nicolas Gros and Marine Lozet-Gros, the sixth generation of the family, took over the reins of this French family business a few years ago. Sustained by their family heritage, they are injecting fresh life and passion into the knitwear brand with their own contemporary touch.

The company began life as a silk factory near Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut (southern Ardèche), redirecting its energies in the post-war years to knitwear and beginning to create sweaters and polo shirts for men and women. Today, the company is turning another new corner with the emergence of Maison Montagut by means of this new website and the redevelopment of several shops.

Maison Montagut is a concept that enables this well-loved brand to affirm its expertise in knitwear by extending its product range to home-decoration items, travel accessories and baby gifts, all of which display its knitting know-how. The Pôles brand has joined this revival and is now offering women's sweaters – notably chunky knits, characterised by a spirit of freedom and femininity – for sale on the site.
